Digital quality management

WeldLog within our welding coordination and senior inspection projects.

When TEIC is appointed to provide Responsible Welding Coordination (RWC) or Senior Welding Inspection, we incorporate WeldLog into the relevant project workflow. The platform supports weld traceability and quality documentation by linking welders, welding procedures, materials and inspection records to individual welds.

How it works with TEIC

01

Project setup for RWC and Senior Welding Inspection.

As part of our Responsible Welding Coordination or Senior Welding Inspection scope, TEIC sets up WeldLog records for the project. We can transfer existing welder, WPS and WPQR registers, upload drawings and configure the records required for the work.

02

RWC and Senior Welding Inspection within WeldLog.

Working within the TEIC-managed project workspace, our Responsible Welding Coordinator can manage procedure assignment, production release and welding quality oversight. Our Senior Welding Inspector can use WeldLog to review and record visual inspection, NDT results, weld repairs, re-inspections and non-conformance follow-up, as applicable to the project. Actions are recorded against named users.

03

Compiled project records at handover.

As welding and inspection progress, WeldLog supports compilation of the Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs), including the Weld Traceability Register (WTR), weld maps, welder qualifications, WPS and WPQR records, inspection and NDT reports, material certificates and release notes as applicable. At the end of the project, TEIC provides the client with the compiled MRBs, including the WTR.

What an auditor sees

Pick any weld number. The welder and their qualification, the WPS it was welded to, the heat number and the mill certificate behind it, the inspection and NDT result, and the release note it went out on. One thread, years later.

What gets captured

  • Weld map on your drawings, each weld numbered and logged with welder, WPS and date
  • Welder qualifications with expiry dates flagged where work is assigned
  • WPS and WPQR library, with no release to production until a procedure is assigned
  • Heat numbers and mill certificates captured against the work
  • Visual inspection and NDT results, including repair and re-test history
  • ITP stages and hold points where the project is set up for them
  • Manufacturing record book compiled as a PDF pack, with a client review link
